Happy Birthday Kate!

Our little girl turned 7! She had her whole birthday planned. She made goodie bags for her cousins when they came to her "party". She drew and decorated "Pin the tail on the horse." She decorated her bedroom with balloons, and she made a complete outline of what she was going to do on her birthday. . . . then, she got chicken pox and exposed her cousins to them. So, that made us have to postpone all those plans. (I guess we're planning to do it this week now, because she won't let me not do it and she put all this effort into it!) She's been so excited about all of this for a month! Who ever heard of a birthday lasting a month? Anyway, she went online and found the cake she wanted--ponies and all! It was kind of a bummer, tho, 'cuz mom messed up the colors of the rainbow. Who ever heard of orangish-brown in a rainbow? Oh well, I've never claimed to be perfect!? We had a good time, tho. Family came over. We ate pizza, opened presents, and had chocolate cake with Life Saver rainbow sherbet. What could be better than that? Except getting all the money she got and an Only Hearts Club doll and pony! It ended up being great!
